Technologist-Radiology Multi-Modality PRN

Overview

Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Routinely works in 2 or more specialties.

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgment in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan and implements it utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities and collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
• Completes assigned goals and performs other duties as assigned.

• Experience – Experience as obtained through Radiology Technology Program (minimum/required with preferred/desirable details as specified by employer).
• Education – Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by ARRT;
  Associates degree in related field (minimum/required; preferred by employer).
• Training – Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles/theory; ability to follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.
• Licensure – Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire; state license as required; registration in two or more specialties (as applicable).
