Salary - £40,000

Shift - Days - 38 hours per week

Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

A standout opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing facility in Yeadon, Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer looking to develop their technical expertise and build a long-term career within a growing manufacturing business.

You will be responsible for mechanical fault-finding, breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across a range of industrial manufacturing machinery and equipment. The role will involve repairs, installation and commissioning, as well as supporting continuous improvement and minimising production downtime.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced industrial factory.

Essential requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.

Mechanical engineering qualification or time-served engineering background.

Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Experience working within the UK manufacturing sector.

Experience working with automated machinery, CNC equipment or robotics.

Experience with PPM, TPM and condition-monitoring activities.
