Seasonal Grader Operator

NWT Construction is hiring a Seasonal Grader Operator in Yellowknife for the 2026 construction season. Join a leading contractor and operate heavy machinery responsibly.

In this seasonal position, you will utilize your grading expertise with NWT Construction. You will be responsible for the safe operation of the grader and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while creating quality road surfaces. Candidates should have significant experience in road construction as well as a proven ability to manage grading operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate grader to ensure safe road preparation

• Perform maintenance checks on grading equipment

• Navigate work areas using reference stakes

• Regulate grader blade height for precision work

• Promote and adhere to safety programs

Requirements:

• Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory

• 3-5 years’ experience in road construction

• At least 5 years operating a grader

• Class 1 or 3 license is beneficial

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly
