We need someone who is familiar with the news and current affairs of the territory and comfortable working live on air in the early morning. As the morning newsreader, you’ll be responsible for gathering, lining up and presenting the daily news. You’ll also be a key voice on The Trailbreaker, delivering headlines and weather alongside our morning show host.
Though you’ll work mainly with prepared scripts, this role requires someone who is willing and able to chase breaking news and gather material from multiple sources on deadline. The successful candidate will also be comfortable editing tape, gathering and finding material from other northern territories, and working with people throughout the newsroom to deliver the best daily newscasts we can.

* Present newscasts on other platforms (streaming, podcasts, digital, video) as required.
Your profile:
* University degree in journalism or the equivalent in work experience, with at least three years of relevant journalism experience.
* Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced daily news environment.
* Ability to generate, pitch and pursue strong, original story ideas.
