GIS Systems Specialist

Position: GIS Systems Specialist at City
Elevate your career as a GIS Systems Specialist with the City of Yellowknife, contributing technical expertise to the City’s Enterprise GIS. Support vital projects and data integration to enhance community services.
As a key member of the Local Government team, you will report directly to the Manager of Strategic Planning. This position requires a minimum of five years in Enterprise GIS project management, alongside strong GIS software experience. You'll develop and maintain spatial databases, oversee GIS applications, and ensure integration with other City systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide complex project support for the Enterprise GIS

• Develop and maintain GIS databases and applications

• Integrate spatial data with corporate software

• Coordinate GIS infrastructure for the City

• Create and maintain mapping websites for users
Requirements:

• University degree or technology diploma in a relevant field

• Minimum five years in GIS project management

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and database structures

• Familiarity with FME and certification preferred

• Experience in Python automation for GIS applications
