Geotechnical Technologist

Position: Geotechnical Technologist with Tetra Tech
Tetra Tech seeks a Senior Geotechnical Technologist for its Arctic Engineering team in Yellowknife, NT. This position requires expertise in materials testing and a passion for making a difference.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with over a decade of experience in materials labs. You will manage lab documentation, mentor junior staff, and conduct field testing of aggregates and soils. Your contributions will help maintain high safety standards while executing drilling projects across NWT and Nunavut, underlining Tetra Tech's commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update lab documentation including calibrations and shipping records

• Provide leadership and training for junior technologists

• Review field quality control and lab testing reports

• Execute soil, aggregate, and asphalt testing procedures

• Report all health and safety incidents and concerns

Requirements:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology

• Minimum 10 years of materials lab experience

• Clean Class 5 Driver's License required

• Strong problem-solving and time management skills

• Must be physically fit for manual labor tasks
