Job Information

The Northwest Territories Centre for Geomatics (NWTCG) is seeking a Geomatics Officer to support the delivery of geospatial services across the Government of the Northwest Territories. In this role, you will develop and implement geomatics related projects, data management, provide advice, recommendations and assistance to the Centre's staff, departmental clients, and other governments and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, develop and implement geomatics and GIS projects.
Provide operational support on land and mineral tenure.
Create and maintain geospatial data and databases.
Perform data management, quality control, and analysis

Key

Qualifications:

Technical diploma in GIS or a related field, with 3 years of directly related experience in client-based GIS services and project management, or
Bachelor's degree in geography or a geomatics related field, and 1 year of directly related experience in client-based GIS services and project management.
All other equivalencies will be assessed on a case‑by‑case basis.
Relevant education fields can also include, but is not limited to:
- GIS Technology / GIS Applications
- Geospatial Technology
- Geographic Information Systems
