Enforcement Officer II

Position: City Enforcement Officer II
Enhance community safety as a Municipal Enforcement Officer II with the City of Yellowknife. This role emphasizes law enforcement and the promotion of compliance for residents and visitors alike.

Working under the direction of the Supervisor of Enforcement Operations, you will engage with the public, patrolling the city and ensuring compliance with local by-laws and traffic laws. This position is integral in maintaining a safe environment in Yellowknife.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with the public to deliver excellent service

• Patrol using diverse means such as vehicles and bicycles

• Ensure all traffic and parking regulations are followed

• Investigate complaints and foster compliance

• Provide traffic control support for city activities

Requirements:

• Relevant diploma in police studies or law enforcement

• At least 2 years of law enforcement experience

• A valid NWT class 5 driver's license

• First aid certification and specialized training required

• Background check clearance necessary
