GIS Systems Specialist

Position: GIS Systems Specialist at City
Drive innovative GIS solutions with the City of Yellowknife as a GIS Systems Specialist. Your expertise will enhance the integration of spatial data across various corporate systems.

This role involves providing comprehensive project and technical support for the City’s Enterprise GIS. As a specialist, you will develop and maintain GIS databases, manage data integration with other applications, and coordinate the City's GIS infrastructure. Contributing to impactful projects aimed at improving service delivery makes this an essential role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for GIS and related applications

• Develop and maintain GIS databases and applications

• Ensure integration of spatial data across City systems

• Coordinate the City's GIS infrastructure and mapping websites

• Manage GIS project initiatives and deliver results

Requirements:

• University degree or technology diploma in relevant disciplines

• Minimum five years of experience in GIS project management

• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and database structures

• Experience with GIS data management and FME tools

• Skills in automation and web-based GIS application development
