Environmental Policy Advisor Yellowknife

Advance sustainable development in Yellowknife as the EA Policy Advisor. This role emphasizes analytical skills and environmental assessment navigation for effective policy creation.

In this position with the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board, you’ll focus on developing and reviewing key environmental assessment policies. Strong research capabilities will allow you to advise on various environmental assessment files while ensuring policy transparency. You must be adept at balancing teamwork with independent responsibilities for overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review environmental assessment policies

• Conduct impactful policy research and environmental scans

• Advise on environmental assessment files

• Review relevant legislation and agreements

• Participate in workshops and regulatory discussions

Requirements:

• Degree in Resource Management or equivalent experience

• Understanding of environmental assessment procedures

• Exceptional research and writing abilities

• Proven ability to work independently and with teams

• Experience with regulatory frameworks is beneficial
