Role OverviewAs a deployed Retail Supervisor, you will lead a retail store for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and partner nations overseas for six months. Your role involves managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety and security standards, and contributing to morale and welfare activities for troops.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the retail team and store operations.
- Enforce health, hygiene, safety and security standards.
- Prepare regular cash audits, reconcile deposits, and authorize refunds, voids and returns.
- Maintain merchandise distribution, stock levels and monthly inventory.
- Manage contracts, financial statements, inventory, and supply chain processes.
- Implement and maintain loss‑prevention controls.
- Assist with recreational activities and events to support troop morale.
- Acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid provincial driver’s license.
- Canadian citizenship and a valid Canadian passport.
- Supervising and leading staff in operational retail or service settings.
- Coordinating multi‑service/outlet operations.
- Managing inventory, ordering, and reconciliation processes.
- Cash handling, deposits, audits and financial reporting.
- Preparing operational, sales, and merchandising reports.
- Addressing customer service issues, staffing challenges and supply disruptions.
- Applying policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

- Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment.
- Security screening.
- Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

- Position type:
Civilian deployment contract, 6‑month term. - Deployment start dates:
Within the next 2 years. - Hours of work:
Up to 56 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends. - Location:
Latvia.
- Tax‑free allowance: up to $1,756 per month in addition to salary.
- Home leave and travel allowance: paid leave and travel allowance.
- Accommodations and meals: provided for duration of deployment.
