Job Description
YWCA NWT is seeking a crisis support worker for Alison McAteer House, a shelter for women and children fleeing family violence. This is a full‑time, permanent position working evenings (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). The role provides supportive crisis intervention, case management and support, advocacy, and community referrals to current shelter residents and women who call on the crisis line.
Responsibilities
Provide supportive crisis intervention.
Offer case management and support to residents.
Advocate for residents and facilitate community referrals.
Serve residents during nightly hours (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).
