YWCA is seeking two Shelter Support Workers for its family violence shelter. This role involves providing essential crisis support, case management, and community referrals for residents. You will play a key part in advocating for individuals facing challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide supportive crisis intervention for shelter residents
• Manage cases effectively to ensure comprehensive support
• Offer advocacy services to individuals in crisis
• Facilitate community referrals to relevant services
• Maintain a safe and welcoming shelter environment
Requirements:
• Experience in crisis support or social services
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts as required
• Commitment to help individuals facing violence and trauma
• Casual position available until May 31, 2024
Support vulnerable individuals and make a difference in Yellowknife by providing essential shelter support services.
