Position: Casual Women's Shelter Support Role
Make a difference as a Casual Women's Shelter Support Worker at YWCA NWT in Yellowknife. Support individuals in crisis through intervention, advocacy, and community referrals.

The Alison McAteer family violence shelter is looking for casual support workers to provide essential assistance. In this role, you will engage in crisis intervention and case management while playing a key role in client advocacy. Your support will facilitate connections to community resources for those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver supportive crisis intervention and case management

• Advocate for clients' rights and needs

• Provide timely community referrals

• Participate in team discussions around client welfare

• Document client interactions and follow-up actions

Requirements:

• Experience in social work or related field

• Excellent advocacy and communication skills

• Ability to work in a flexible environment

• Empathy towards individuals facing domestic violence

• Availability for casual shifts in Yellowknife
