Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

We are working with an established, family owned and operated specialist contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team on site near Castle Cary.

The project is a high end, bespoke residential development for a private client with a focus on quality across procurement and delivery and the scheme is being delivered on a JCT form of contract so needs someone with expereince of working with a regional or GTier 1 business.

The role is to get involved at estimating stages to help with pricing and programming queries and pass on your practical on site experience to the bid teams. You will then firm up enquiries and convert into subcontract orders, place orders and manage pre starts on site then take responsibility to mange the packages through to completion on site.

You will be looking after all the usual good stuff on site - payments, valuations, variation accounts, remeasures, forecasting, CVR prep etc.and working closely with the site management team to deliver the scheme on time.

You will have a lot of autonomy on site to make real time decisions and we will be fully backed by head office support functions and you will report into the Regional Commercial Manager.
