What You'll Be Doing:

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic and symptomatic breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasound, and image-guided biopsy.
• Collaborate in one-stop breast clinics alongside surgeons, pathologists, and nurses.
• Contribute to the South West Breast Screening Programme, with opportunities to take on a leadership role.
• Participate in local MDTs and regional network meetings.
• Support training and education of junior doctors, radiographers, and medical students.
• Help develop and shape the future of breast services in Somerset.

What We're Looking For:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register.
• Fellowship or equivalent experience in breast imaging.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• A passion for innovation, teaching, and patient-centred care.
• Work pattern  with 1:10 on call

You will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Play a full part in the provision of a radiology service to the Trust.
• To provide, to a high standard, the full range of Imaging Services to inpatients, day cases, outpatients, A&E patients, and primary care patients, as outlined in the proposed job plan.
• To work with the Radiology Department to outline further developments of the service as the needs of the Trust expand.
• Agreement to undertake any external duties must be agreed with the Clinical Director.

Multi-disciplinary Team Working:

• To work within a multi-disciplinary team including a flexible job plan which can be altered by agreement to meet the needs of the service.
• To take an active part in multi-disciplinary meetings, audit, CME meetings and the clinical governance activities of the Trust.

Administration & Management

• To undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the continuation of the service.
