Overview
We are recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join a forward-thinking specialist provision in Yeovil. This full-time opportunity is available immediately and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on young people's lives. The setting supports students aged 10 to 18 with autism, communication and interaction needs, cognition and learning difficulties, sensory processing differences and SEMH profiles
. Many pupils have personalised learning programmes and benefit from a creative, therapeutic and highly individualised approach. The school is known for its strong ethos, inclusive values and supportive staff culture, with learning delivered across unique and engaging environments.
- Support students on personalised learning programmes
- Promote social, emotional and academic development
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and curriculum-based activities
- Help manage behaviour positively and consistently
- Contribute to record keeping and progress monitoring
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals
- Experience working with young people, ideally those with SEN
- Confident supporting communication and interaction needs
- Patient, resilient and enthusiastic approach
- Strong teamwork and safeguarding awareness
- Ability to work independently and across different learning bases
