We may now operate as one integrated team, but our success depends on dedicated Avionics Specialists and Mechanical Specialists. This role sits firmly within the Avionics discipline and plays a vital part in delivering high‑quality technical training to customers and colleagues.

Your ImpactAs an Avionics Instructor, you will shape the next generation of technicians and operators. You will deliver engaging training, act as a Subject Matter Expert for allocated systems, and ensure all training aligns with customer requirements, engineering data, and operational necessity.
What you will do as an Avionics Instructor:- Develop technical training content by producing clear, accurate, and effective training materials based on engineering documentation and system data.
- Deliver high‑quality instruction to provide engaging classroom and practical training to varied audiences in the UK and occasionally overseas.
- Act as an Avionics SME representing the avionics discipline, ensuring technical accuracy and supporting training assurance.
- Collaborate with Synthetic Learning & Simulation Services (SL&SS) teams.
- Maintain compliance by ensuring all training meets safety, regulatory, and organisational standards.
- Enhance student assessments support when developing and improving assessment methods and evaluation tools.
- Solid understanding of avionic systems, including principles of operation and system integration.
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, or a related technical field, ensuring credibility and the depth of knowledge required for developing course material and explaining complex concepts.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify and clearly explain technical information.
- Professional, positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and collaborate.
- Instructor Qualifications such as Defence Train the Trainer (DTTT), Award or Certificate in Education and Training (AET or CET), or equivalent. Training can be provided if not currently held.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and training technologies (training provided).
