Yeovil College   is looking for an enthusiastic, people-focused    Foundation Learning Careers and Progression Lead    to help   learners   build confidence,     develop employability   skills     and take their next steps into the world beyond college. We're   open to     full-time ,  substantial part-time or full-time term-time only     for the right   person, because   we know that experience,   personality   and the right approach matter.
You'll   lead the development of careers,     work   experience     and     progression     opportunities    for    Foundation Learning student s  , working closely with   learners  ,    families  ,   curriculum teams,   employers  and community partners     .  From creating new employer partnerships and   supported internship pathways    to developing exciting internal learning companies and enterprise projects,   you'll   help learners gain valuable,    real-world experience    and prepare for their next steps.
You'll   also    lead   and support our Careers and Work Placement Coordinator and Job Coaches,  champion high-quality learner support    and help ensure every student   has the opportunity to   achieve a positive destination. What   w  e're  l  ooking   f  or:

Experience of leading and developing teams, building employer   partnerships   and working with external stakeholders.

A passion for supporting learners with SEND and   additional   needs, with experience in employability, work experience, supported   internships   or employment.

Knowledge of careers education, employability, progression   pathways   and the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Experience of developing enterprise initiatives and using data to measure impact and improve outcomes.

A degree or equivalent professional qualification, Level 3 qualification and Level 2 English and Maths. IAG and/or leadership qualifications would be beneficial.

A flexible,   inclusive   and collaborative approach, with a commitment to safeguarding, Health &   Safety   and continuous development.

What we offer:

Annual   Salary:
£  3  5,700

37  hours per week      ,   all year round   –   substantial   part time or   full time   term time only would also be considered.
