Role Overview :
Our globally renowned aerospace client is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist and Data Management Specialist to support Fixed and Rotary Wing programmes based in Yeovil.

The role is responsiblefordefining,implementing,andmaintainingrobustconfigurationanddatamanagement processes to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, technical, and company requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

The post holder will work closely with programme, engineering, bid, supplier, and customer stakeholderstomaintainconfigurationcontrol,assuredataintegrity,andsupportaudits,reviews,and governance activities across multiple defence programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Configuration&Programme Support Plan,implement,and maintain

Configuration and Data Management (CM/DM) processes across assigned programmes.

Supportthedeploymentandstandardisationofconfigurationmanagementprocessesand toolsets, including access control and security requirements.

Interfacewithbidandprogrammeteamstoembedconfigurationmanagementrequirementsat contract initiation and throughout programme delivery.

Provide

CMsupportatdesignreviews,programmereviews,andconfigurationcontrolboards, ensuring consistent governance and timely closure of actions.

Liaisewithcustomersandsupplierstoagreeandmanagejointconfigurationanddataworking arrangements.

Contributetosupplier Statements of Workandsupportprogrammeforecastingandbudget  planning for CM/DM activities.

Identifyprogrammerisks,issues,and opportunities,supportingthedevelopmentand implementation of mitigation plans.

Data Management& Compliance:
Track,manage,andreportcustomerandsupplierdatadeliverables,including

Supplier

Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs), ensuring timely submission and disposition.

Monitordatatransmissionstoensurecompliancewithcontractualobligations,regulatory requirements, and company standards.

Reviewandapprovetechnicaldatawithini

PDM,ensuringcorrectsecurity,export control, intellectual property, and trade compliance markings.

Ensureadherenceto Export Compliance ,Manufacturing Licence Agreements (MLAs), information protection, and intellectual property regulations.

Maintainandupdatesharedtechnicalinformationenvironmentsandsupportsecuredata access across multiple sites, including offline contingency solutions.

Supportinternalaudits,reviews,andassuranceactivitiestodemonstrateregulatoryand contractual compliance.

Skills,Knowledge&

Experience:

Strongknowledgeofconfigurationmanagementregulations,international standards,andbest practice.

Solidunderstandingof

CM,data management,andprogrammemanagement principles.

Awarenessofcommercialandfinancialconsiderationswithinprogramme delivery.

Generalknowledgeofengineeringdesign,testing,and manufacturing processes.

Abilitytointerpretengineeringdrawingsandmanufacturingplanning information.

Experienceworkingwithcross-functionalteamsincludingengineering,operations, procurement, and customer support.

Excellent communication,stakeholder engagement,and problem-solving skills.

Highattentiontodetail,strongqualityfocus,andabilitytomanageworkload independently.

Goodlevelof

ITliteracyandexperienceusingconfigurationanddatamanagement systems.

Desirable: CMIIPractitionerqualificationorequivalent experience.

Additional Information:
Eligibilityandwillingnesstoobtain SC clearance is required.

Therolewillprimarilybe office-based in Yeovil,withlimitedhomeworking,duetoprogramme requirements.
