Our globally renowned aerospace client is seeking an Obsolescence Engineer to support both current and emerging defence programmes acrossits UK portfolio.

The role will primarily be based in Yeovil,and will report to the Obsolescence Capability Lead within the Product Support Engineering function.

Thesuccessfulcandidatewillcontributetothedeliveryofeffective Obsolescence Management services , supporting programme sustainability, availability, and long-term supportability across complex military platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Obsolescence Capability Lead in delivering obsolescence management services acrosstheclientsportfolio,includingthedevelopmentandmaintenanceofprocessesandplans to meet evolving programme requirements.

Identifyobsolescencerisksandopportunitiesatanearlystage,supportingthedevelopmentof mitigation strategies and resolution plans.

Prepareandcontributetotechnicalbriefings,meetings,andinternalorexternalworking groups.

Attendandcontributetocustomer,supplier,andinternalprogrammemeetingsas required.

Liaisewithengineering,supply chain,training,andwidersupportfunctionstoensurealignment with programme developments and support objectives.

Engagedirectlywithcustomersonobsolescence-related matters,providinginformedtechnical support and guidance.

Assistinthecoordinationanddeliveryof Support Engineeringoutputs (including

CDRLs), ensuring timely inputs, high-quality reviews, and first-time-right delivery.

Interfacewiththeclientsinternationalobsolescenceteamstoensurealignmentbetween

UK solutions and global platform strategies.

Supportwiderbusinessinitiativessuchasqualityimprovement,safetyculture,mentoring,and capability development as required.

Skills,Knowledge and

Experience:

Eligibilitytoobtain

UKSCsecurityclearanceis essential.

Strongunderstandingof Support Engineering ,withspecificexperienceinobsolescence management within a military or defence environment.

Abilitytoanalyseandinterpretengineeringandsupportdatatoinformdecision- making.

Provencapabilitytoworkcollaborativelyacrossmultidisciplinaryteamstoidentifyoptimisation opportunities and improve customer outcomes.

Experienceliaisingwith

OEMorganisationstointegrate

UKsolutionswithwiderplatform strategies.

Demonstratedcommitmenttoquality,withafocusonfirst-time-right delivery.

Familiaritywithinternationalsupportstandards,suchas Def Stan
00-600andthe

ASD/AIAS
- Series ILS specifications, is desirable.

Degree-leveleducationinarelevantengineeringdisciplineispreferredbutnot essential. xekaoyc
