Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited (BDUK) is seeking a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineer to support new business opportunities and existing product platforms, mainly fixed and vertical lift Boeing platforms. The role is within the Product Support Engineering Department.

- Work in a team to execute contracted R&M work.
- Provide analytical capability to transform information and data, supporting R&M decision making.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and senior stakeholders to ensure consistency across projects.
- Support and review Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), failure analysis, and corrective action (FRACAS).
- Coordinate, monitor, establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and report status of R&M activities.
- Perform statistical analysis on fault data to identify reliability thresholds and trends.
- Work with modelling teams and supply chain to connect R&M data to provisioning and forecasting of aircraft spares.
- Present R&M findings within UK defence customer forums and working groups.
- Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: must be able to obtain the necessary clearance.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
- High level of skill in reliability availability modelling calculations using industry toolsets and methodologies.
- Understanding of relationships between R&M and Design, Dependability, Safety, Integrated Product Support & Asset Management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
- Clear communicator with a can‑do attitude and drive to continually improve service quality.
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Knowledge and application experience of risk & reliability management systems and techniques.
- Defence background is advantageous but not essential.
Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

This is a locally hired position in the UK; candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. The company will not sponsor immigration or labour visas. The role requires the ability to obtain a United Kingdom Security Check. Relocation assistance is not offered. The position is not contingent on program award and is not a shift worker.
