We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technician to join our Mains Renewal team.
What you'll doAs part of our Mains Renewal Team, you would be designing/planning Structural/water quality driven schemes.
This is a varied, busy and key role. You will be required to attend and present design safety review meetings to proposals and progress to construction.
Responsibilities:
- Preparingdrawingson CAD for all allocated schemes.
- Liaising with Project Managers/construction teams,Design Engineers andother departmentsincludingexternal third partiesto agree programmes and timescales.
- Shadowingdesignengineersand aiding inday-to-daytasks.
- Maintain and update relevant highway permits.
- Completeaslaiddrawingson CAD ensuring handovers are submitted to GIS.As per the company procedure.
You will have a 'can do' attitude, and will also be confident, driven and self-motivated. Some previous experience in civil engineering and design is desirable, together with some knowledge of the water industry and relevant technical standards and systems. A full driving licence is required as this position will require travel between Wessex Water offices and sites.
