Are you ready to step into a high-impact role where you’ll shape how we manage Trade Credit across one of the UK’s fastest-growing retailers? As Trade Credit Finance Manager
, you’ll report to the Senior Finance Manager and take full ownership of managing Trade Credit debt and risk.

You’ll lead a small team and be the main point of contact for our third-party credit partners, ensuring relationships are strong and performance stays on track. Collaboration is key – you’ll work closely with the B2B Key Accounts team, Proposition, and Kingfisher to evolve our credit facility.

• Lead and develop a team of underwriting and legal assistants, coaching, development and delegation of tasks.
• Manage third-party relationships supporting the Trade Credit proposition, challenging operational performance and identifying improvements.
• Manage risks and opportunities ensuring the Trade Credit proposition is future proofed.
• Drive efficiencies and improvements focusing on debt management and customer relations.
• Formulate, maintain and provide advice on credit policy and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Lead debt recoveries, fraud reduction and legal processes.
• Review customer information from various financial and credit referencing agencies to assess creditworthiness.
• Support internal and external audits and business transformation activities.
• Ensure SOPs are complete and updated annually, and comply with the Group Financial Reporting Manual and internal controls.
• Escalate risks/issues to Senior for review and mitigation.
• Identify process improvement opportunities as part of Smart Working.
Required Skills & Experience
• Good understanding of interpreting company accounts and risk.
• Commercial acumen with ability to weigh risk versus reward.
• Proven experience granting credit limits (underwriting / credit vetting).
• Legal understanding of limited and non-limited organisations.
• Experience managing Third Parties and maintaining relationships.
• KPI management and performance monitoring.
• Ability to develop solutions, identify process improvement opportunities.
