Vardey Recruitment is delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a Senior Accounts Assistant / Financial Administrator to join a professional company in the heart of Yeovil - in South Somerset. The Senior Accounts Assistant Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join their dynamic finance team. You’ll play a key role in managing the day-to-day Purchase and Sales Ledger functions, working closely with the Financial Controller and Director of Finance to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

* Purchase Ledger
- * Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and on time

* Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies

* Reconcile supplier statements and manage queries

* Execute payment runs and maintain supplier records

* Handle company credit card purchases and employee expenses

* Sales Ledger
- * Raise timely and accurate invoices

* Maintain customer records and credit limits

* Allocate customer receipts and resolve posting discrepancies

* Support aged debt reporting and credit control

* Banking & Month-End
- * Manage daily bank reconciliations

* Assist with cashflow reporting

* Support month-end processes and reconciliations

What We’re Looking For

* Proficient in Sage 50 - ideally or cloud based software

* Experience in purchase & sales ledger, reconciliations, and payments

* Strong attention to detail and methodical working style

* Able to meet deadlines while managing routine tasks

* Approachable, professional, and solution-focused

* Self-motivated and a strong team player
