Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with experience in finance or administration? Stanch ester Academy is seeking a proactive and reliable Finance Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality financial and administrative support to the school.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the efficient operation of our finance function while working in a rewarding educational environment. As Finance Assistant, you will support the day-to-day financial administration of the Academy, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
You will work closely with colleagues, suppliers, parents, and external agencies, helping to maintain robust financial records and support the school's financial procedures.
Part‑Time, Permanent
20 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time only)
Support Staff Scale, Band 4, Scale Point 5
Actual salary: £11,790.30 per annum
Key responsibilities- Processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving account queries.
- Processing staff expenses and reimbursements.
- Supporting the administration of school bank accounts and petty cash.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Recording and reconciling income from trips, activities, lettings, and other sources.
- Monitoring outstanding balances and supporting debt recovery processes.
- Raising and tracking purchase orders.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and invoices.
- Providing general administrative support to the finance office.
- Responding to finance-related enquiries from staff, parents, suppliers, and external agencies.
