Salary Range: £53k to £55k

Your impactYou will drive a strong culture of financial control, process discipline and continuous improvement across the business by supporting finance transformation initiatives, process improvement programmes and the adoption of digital and AI‑enabled solutions to enhance financial controls, reporting efficiency and data quality.
Responsibilities include coordinating internal and external audit requirements, supporting statutory reporting, maintaining finance policies and procedures, and ensuring financial governance processes remain robust and aligned to business needs.
What you'll do as Governance & Control Financial Accountant- Act as the Finance lead for Quality Systems Reviews, representing the Finance function in governance activities and ensuring all relevant CPRs, CIs, policies and procedures are maintained, reviewed and adhered to.
- Coordinate the preparation, review and submission of Law 262 narratives in accordance with Group requirements and reporting timetables, ensuring appropriate documentation and governance standards.
- Serve as the primary Finance contact for Internal Audit activities, investigations and reviews.
- Coordinate the collection, validation and review of information required for External Financial Audits.
- Support the interpretation and application of accounting standards, Group accounting policies and financial governance requirements to ensure accurate presentation of financial information.
- Support the preparation of the UK Statutory Accounts for the Helicopter Division, coordinating the collection, validation and review of information required by the UK Central Finance team.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of financial controls, identify control weaknesses, process risks and opportunities for improvement, and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial governance principles. (Part‑qualified accountant considered if close to qualification)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess risks, evaluate controls and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and proactively drive activities to completion. Experience of financial controls, governance, compliance, audit or statutory reporting activities within a finance environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear reports, documentation and recommendations for a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong systems aptitude with experience of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Interest in process improvement, finance transformation and emerging technologies, including automation and AI applications within finance.
