Working closely with third-party support teams, the postholder delivers a unified frontline service to the business and supports the onsite delivery of Digital Solutions (DS) operational projects. The role ensures that site-based services are delivered consistently, governed effectively, and aligned with business requirements. The position is site-based, with occasional travel across sites within the hub scope.

  • Provide support for on-premise tooling, software, and infrastructure, identifying gaps and recommending improvements
  • Offer guidance and best-practice advice to the business on IT facilities, services, processes, and EUC usage
  • Support end-user computing environments including AV and specialist site-based infrastructure (e.g. rig machinery)
  • Work collaboratively with third-party support teams to deliver a single, cohesive frontline service
  • Support the onsite delivery of DS operational and BAU projects to ensure business benefits are realised
  • Assess business requests and ensure they are correctly authorised, prioritised, and assigned
  • Approve the supply of end-user computing facilities where authorised, appropriate, and justified
  • Ensure Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) processes are followed and managed for the assigned hub
  • Coordinate the supply of IT resources, including asset allocation and logistics
  • Manage local stock and logistics across hub and satellite sites
  • Support events, Sev0, and major incidents as required
  • Manage incidents and service requests related to infrastructure and services within hub scope
  • Provide support and guidance for new site-or hub-based service demand
  • Support hub-specific software maintenance, deployment, packaging, and support
  • Provide cross-site support across all locations within hub scope
  • Support Hardware Asset Management (HAM) activities
  • Support BCP testing and exercises, including silver command participation
  • Support CE+ compliance activities related to the hub
Competencies

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise competing workloads effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Collaborative team-focused working style
  • High attention to detail and governance compliance
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Resilient and adaptable in operational and incident-driven environments
What you'll bring
