Healthcare Management, Operations Manager
The CAFM & BMS Manager reports direct to the Head of Estates and will play a lead role in successfully implementing, mobilising and managing the new trust-wide Facilities CAFM system being rolled out within the acute, community and mental health sites. The post-holder will have full responsibility for the maintenance and management of the CAFM system and Web Portal and for developing a robust strategy which encompasses roll out and transition, developing relevant service level agreements and key performance indicators, data cleansing, naming conventions, management of data, ongoing training of all system users and development of the overall system.
Mainduties of the job
Required to communicate daily with (including but not limited to) informing, consulting, persuading, instructing all relevant EFM staff
Will be required to communicate with managers/staff outside of EFM in a professional and effective way entirely consistent with the Trust values;
Form effective working relationships with key estates and facilities staff who specifically utilise the CAFM and control of contractors systems
Work collaboratively with the acute workshop manager, the community and mental health operational estates lead, acute hotel services lead and central helpdesk co-ordinator in driving workforce performance and introducing optimal working arrangements derived from the utilisation of the CAFM system, relating to both planned and reactive maintenance.
Work collaboratively with the Capital team regarding minor and major refurbishment works, ensuring all information is captured in the correct format and is effectively uploaded onto the CAFM system
In conjunction with the other Estates Managers/Estates Officers undertake on-call duties providing support and advice out of hours for all Estates and Building related services.
Act as authorised person for one more of the following disciplines Piped Medical Gas, Electrical, ventilation, water safety, pressure systems and Lifts, subject to experience and relevant training
Act as the primary BMS Manager.

Person Specification Qualifications- HNC or equivalent in an Engineering or Building discipline or equivalent experience;
- Plus, specialist knowledge acquired through experience in CAFM operating systems;
- Degree level qualification in an estates or building services related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience of operating a CAFM system within a facilities/maintenance environment;
- Experience in working with changes and improvements to asset management systems;
- Experience of compiling a range of reports based on CAFM database and technically
- Experience of managing a busy helpdesk within a facilities/maintenance environment
- A broad technically competent background
- Understanding the relationship between the CAFM system and the needs of the organisation;
- Understanding of the users requirements and concepts behind various maintenance regimes; A complete understanding of the interrelationship between assets and their maintenance and lifecycle requirements; A working knowledge of Health & Safety and relevant current legislation and guidance Disclosure and Barring Service Check
