Job Overview

The Paragon Manager will lead, manage, develop, supervise and support all operational aspects of the Hub, ensuring excellent communication with victims/survivors of domestic abuse and other organisations.

Location:

Yeovil, Somerset

Salary: £37,395 per annum for 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Focus on the operational management, development and delivery of Paragon, follow Paragon and YOU processes, policies and procedures.
  • Manage and deliver 24/7 access to the service through targeted staff and volunteer deployment and an on‑call service.
  • Lead on the effective recruitment and induction of staff, working with others to support recruitment across the wider team.
  • Manage and support staff and volunteers in line with service requirements, contractual and grant fund specifications, key performance indicators and timescales.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that allocation of cases to all staff is prioritised on risk, including outreach, groups, drop‑ins, resettlement and refuge/crisis accommodation.
  • Direct staff, prepare for, and carry out internal management reviews, write reports and attend external multi‑agency meetings such as MARAC, DARDR’s and other safeguarding meetings.
  • Carry out regular 14‑day audits and case management reviews guided by Safe Lives and Paragon best practice, supporting staff via agreed management and HR processes.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Management or Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent to Diploma/ Degree/NVQ 5 or equivalent work level experience.
    • Experience of supporting women, men and children who have been subject to domestic violence and abuse and/or sexual violence and abuse/stalking, including undertaking strengths and needs assessments including a DASH/RIC.
    • Experience of effective multi‑agency and partnership working (e.g. MARAC) and managing complex and demanding service functions; knowledge of safeguarding best practice, crisis accommodation, community‑based settings and MARAC.
    • Experience of managing, supporting, supervising, motivating and developing teams and individuals; knowledge of criminal and civil proceedings relating to SVA/DVA/Stalking.
    • Skilled at IT including office packages such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word and have the ability to produce reports and maintain administration systems.
