Welder- MIG​/TIG

Overview

A long-established manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their growing production team. This role plays a vital part in the assembly of high-quality mechanical structures and cabinets, contributing directly to the company's reputation for precision and reliability. • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and measurements
• Selecting the correct welding method and equipment for each job
• Setting up and aligning components for welding
• Performing MIG/TIG welding on a variety of metals
• Cutting materials using powered saws to match specifications
• Maintaining equipment to ensure safe operation
• Following production schedules and Work to Lists
• Completing internal Work Orders accurately via the company ERP system
• Supporting general production activities when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive problem solving
• Experience in MIG and/or TIG welding
• Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium (advantageous)
• Fabrication experience, including reading drawings and assembling/welding components
• Ability to select appropriate materials and consumables for each job
• Professional welding certification beneficial but not required
• Proficient in English
