Production Manager
Location: Over Stratton
Salary:
Up to £45,000 + benefits (with scope to increase after probation)
Shift Pattern:
Tuesday & Wednesday: 4:00am - 12:00pm
Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10:00pm - 6:00am
This role requires someone comfortable operating across early mornings and night production, leading from the front and setting the tone for pace, quality and discipline on shift. There is scope for this to change to a day shift after 12 months, once processes have been embedded.

We're partnering with a high growth, wholesale led artisan bakery in Wiltshire that's entering an exciting phase of expansion. With increasing volumes and new equipment coming online, they're now looking for a strong Production Manager to take ownership of the Tuesday-Saturday production function and help shape how the operation runs as it scales.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead, motivate and develop a production team of circa 20 staff across staggered shifts
- Take full ownership of shift planning, rota management and labour deployment
- Drive efficiencies across workflow, batching, labour utilisation and output as volumes grow
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance
- Improve structure, communication and accountability across shifts
- Support the introduction of new equipment and evolving production processes
- Be a visible, hands on leader on the shop floor, setting clear expectations and standards

- Experience with in food manufacturing, ideally bakery or fresh food
- Strongly desirable: experience working with dough, proving, baking or pastry production
- Open to experienced Production Managers or Head Bakers ready to transition into a broader operational leadership role
- Confident leading teams in fast paced, high volume environments
- Strong understanding of production flow, labour planning and efficiency improvement
- Process driven but pragmatic, someone who values structure but also thinks outside the box
- Calm under pressure, proactive and solutions focused
