TIG Mop Operative | Production Operative | Manufacturing Operative | Assembly Operative | Factory Operative

Sparkford, BA22 | £13.21 per hour | Monday to Friday | Permanent | Immediate Start

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a TIG Mop Operative to join a busy manufacturing business based in Sparkford.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn a specialist manufacturing skill, with full training provided. Previous TIG mopping experience is not required, making this role ideal for candidates with experience in production, assembly, or manufacturing who are looking to develop their career.

Working as part of a supportive production team, you'll help ensure finished products meet the highest quality standards while working safely and efficiently.

Key Duties
  • Remove weld discolouration from stainless steel and other metals using specialist mild acid-based cleaning products.
  • Operate safely and follow all Health & Safety procedures.
  • Wear the required PPE, including protective coveralls, while working in the TIG Mop area.
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining excellent quality standards.
  • Operate and care for production equipment and tools.
  • Support assembly work using hand and air tools as required.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve deadlines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
Requirements
  • Previous experience within a factory, production, assembly, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, air tools, or production machinery is advantageous.
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Comfortable standing for long periods.
  • Able to carry out repetitive tasks.
  • Willing to wear full PPE, including protective coveralls, for most of the working day.
  • Able to follow strict safety procedures when working with mild acid cleaning products.
Hours & Pay
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm.
  • Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • £13.21 per hour.
