You'll be trusted to work across a full range of sawmill machinery, from rip saws to moulders, with pay of up to £14.50 per hour reflecting that skill.
Every order you produce needs to be accurate, on time and to spec, and that's exactly the standard this team works to.

As a Sawmill Machine Operator, you will benefit from:- Free on-site parking

- Select timber boards suited to each works order
- Operate rip saws, bandsaws, the beam saw and moulders to fulfil orders accurately and safely
- Maximise yield from every piece of timber processed
- Record sawn and machined timber accurately on production paperwork and systems
- Stack, band and label completed orders safely and presentably
- Maintain a clean, organised work area
- Experience working in a timber sawmill or similar manufacturing environment, operating machinery (certificate, diploma or degree an advantage)
- Good standard of basic education, particularly maths
- Fluent spoken English
- Forklift licence advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving
- Good time-management skills to meet production deadlines
