CNC Turner (Skilled/Indentured Skilled) - Night Shift
Location: Yeovil (Honeywell Aerospace)
Shifts: 34.5 hours per week - Sun 22:00-07:00;
Mon-Fri 00:00-07:00
Pay: £16.13 - £24.20 per hour (dependent on experience)

What you'll be doing:- Manufacture parts from start to finish on centre lathes to aerospace specifications
- Set and run bespoke work on 2-axis CNC lathes
- Perform OCQ (Operator Control of Quality) checks, including stamping to confirm assembly quality to Honeywell and customer standards
- Interpret engineering drawings and follow process layout and documentation procedures
- Maintain on-time delivery by completing work to plan and to the required standard
- Work effectively in a lean environment and support continuous improvement
- Measure and verify components using hand measuring equipment (e.g., Vernier, micrometer, thread and plug gauges)
- Follow strict Health & Safety practices and company processes at all times
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and report to the Team Lead
- Experience working with small components and high-precision work
- CNC turning or related machining experience (manual turning welcome)
- A strong understanding of safety-critical aerospace expectations
- PC literacy to support job-related systems and documentation
- A quality-first mindset with consistent measurement and verification
- Teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to use initiative
- Desirable:
Mazatrol/Mazak experience - Desirable:
Engineering apprenticeship (but not essential)
- Training will be provided as required (e.g., PC skills, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, 5S, HOS principles and general Health & Safety)
- This role is subject to BPSS eligibility screening, including proof of legal right to work, a UK DBS criminal records check, and drugs screening
