Machine Operator / Production Operative | Yeovil | Up to £15.26 per hour | Permanent

As a Machine Operator / Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:

Setting and operating press brake, CNC router and laser machinery, checking materials for size, thickness and grade
Reading technical drawings and Bills of Materials, then measuring and inspecting parts accurately
Assembling products using hand and air tools across the production areas
Deburring, sorting, routing and labelling parts, and completing quality documentation
Inspecting, testing and packaging finished products to specification
Following health and safety procedures and contributing to continuous improvement

As a Machine Operator / Production Operative, your experience will include:

Operating press brakes, CNC routers or lasers in an engineering or manufacturing environment (Machine Operator)
Experience on factory production lines, in assembly or in quality control within manufacturing (Production Operative)
Confidence using verniers, protractors, squares, tape measures and hand tools
Reading technical drawings, with nesting software, Microsoft 365, Sage or Cim
50 knowledge an advantage
A reliable, conscientious approach and a strong eye for detail
The physical stamina and mobility to stand for long periods and handle materials safely
