Warehouse Manager

Yeovil 65,000 + package Permanent

Fast-Growth Business New Site

We are working with a fast-growing business in Yeovil as they launch a brand-new operation and are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the site.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, next-day delivery environment and wants genuine responsibility for shaping and improving an operation from the ground up.

The Role

You will have total ownership of the warehouse operation, combining hands-on operational leadership with a strategic focus on growth, performance and continuous improvement.

From establishing processes and standards at the new site through to developing the team and driving operational performance, you will be responsible for making the warehouse a highly efficient, scalable operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full operational ownership of the new warehouse site.
  • Lead and develop the warehouse team, creating a strong performance culture.
  • Establish processes, SOPs, KPIs and operational standards from the ground up.
  • Ensure consistently high performance within a next-day delivery environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement across productivity, accuracy, quality and cost.
  • Manage labour planning, resource utilisation and operational capacity.
  • Develop the operation to support significant future growth.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and other functions to align warehouse performance with wider business objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance and housekeeping.
  • Be highly visible and hands-on within the operation, leading from the front.
About You

We're looking for a proactive, commercially minded Warehouse Manager who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing a busy warehouse or distribution operation.
  • Experience with in a fast-paced, next-day delivery or e-commerce environment.
  • A strong track record of delivering continuous improvement.
  • Experience setting up, developing or transforming warehouse operations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • A hands-on approach combined with the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • The drive and ambition to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing business.

This isn't simply a role to run an established warehouse. You'll be joining at a pivotal point in the company's growth and will have the opportunity to build, shape and improve a brand-new operation, with genuine ownership and visibility across the business.
