Stock Controller
Yeovil, Somerset | Permanent | From £30,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 7.00am–3.30pm
Organised, practical and confident managing stock in a busy warehouse?
Talent Guardian is recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative for an established manufacturing business in Yeovil.
This varied, hands-on role combines stock control, warehouse administration and goods in/out. You’ll help keep production supplied and customer orders moving, ensuring stock is accurately recorded, correctly stored and ready for dispatch.

What you’ll be doing
 
Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries, including loading, unloading and booking stock onto the system.
Checking delivery paperwork and reporting discrepancies or damaged goods.
Picking and preparing materials for production, alongside picking, labelling and wrapping pallets for dispatch.
Maintaining first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation and supporting traceability and audit requirements.
Completing weekly and monthly stock counts, monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Keeping warehouse spreadsheets and stock records accurate and up to date.
Updating the Supply Chain team on finished goods availability and liaising with external storage providers.
Managing the Goods In email account and associated documentation.
Completing daily forklift checks and providing training and support to warehouse colleagues when required.  What we’re looking for
You’ll have previous experience in stock control, inventory management, goods in/out or warehouse operations, ideally within food production or manufacturing.
You’ll also bring:
 
Strong organisation and attention to detail.
Confidence using spreadsheets and maintaining accurate records.
Good communication and IT skills.
A practical approach and willingness to work hands-on in the warehouse.
The ability to manage priorities across deliveries, production requirements and dispatch.  Counterbalance forklift experience would be an advantage.

Salary from £30,000 per annum.
A permanent position with an established food manufacturer.
Monday to Friday, 7.00am–3.30pm, with no scheduled weekend shifts.
