Student Management Officer

Contract Position | | Yishun

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 May 2027
1 July 2027 to 15 November 2027
Extension option for the corresponding periods in 2028

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, including a 1-hour lunch break
Friday: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, including a 1-hour lunch break
No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Responsibilities
  • Promote and support positive discipline among students.
  • Patrol classrooms, toilets, special rooms and other areas within the school compound.
  • Maintain a positive and orderly school environment during school hours.
  • Engage and support identified at-risk students and the general student population.
  • Assist the Student Discipline Unit in investigating serious disciplinary offences.
  • Communicate and engage with parents when required.
  • Maintain accurate disciplinary records in printed and electronic formats.
  • Assist with intervention programmes, including in-house suspension and detention classes.
  • Support counselling and intervention activities for students at risk.
  • Conduct routine checks within the school and nearby areas, including neighbourhood void decks.
  • Ensure that students do not engage in unauthorised or inappropriate activities.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Student Discipline Unit.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCE O-Level qualification.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role involving student or disciplinary management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to engage students, parents, teachers and school personnel professionally.
  • Organised, meticulous and capable of handling multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent team player with a responsible and firm approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and Google Workspace tools.
  • Comfortable patrolling the school compound and nearby areas.
  • Experience working in a school, youth, counselling or student-support environment is preferred.
