Contract Period:

4 January 2027 to 19 November 2027, excluding school holidays.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

Mondays: 8:30am to 3:30pm;
Tuesdays: 9:00am to 4:00pm;
Fridays: 8:00am to 3:00pm. Each day includes a one-hour meal break.
Three school days per week during school terms; no service on Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays.
Termly schedules are provided at least one week before term starts; reasonable adjustments require at least three working days' notice.

Requirements:

At least one year of relevant education or social-service experience involving children and/or youths.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage primary-school students from diverse backgrounds.
Relevant qualifications, training or certifications in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Child Development, Youth Work or related fields are preferred.

Job Scopes:

Provide pastoral care, mentoring and regular support to identified students, working with the Student Development Team, teachers and relevant stakeholders.

Build trusting relationships and develop students' resilience, emotional regulation, empathy, relationship skills and responsible decision-making.

Teach practical self-regulation, conflict-resolution and communication strategies, including after-school support, to encourage positive peer interactions and reduce bullying.

Support controlled recess, corrective work, detention or suspension, latecoming reduction and patrols of corridors, classrooms and after-school areas.

Observe and document behavioural, social-emotional, peer, engagement and learning concerns; provide weekly updates and recommended follow-up to the Student Development Team.

Maintain confidential intervention records, comply with Annex C Expectations of Instructor and support assigned student-management programmes within working hours.
