We are seeking a motivated Assistant Buyer to join our Purchasing team. In this role, you will support procurement activities, supplier coordination, and material management to ensure smooth operations within our production and supply chain. This position is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Issue requests for quotations and assist with supplier communications.
  • Support negotiations for pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain price comparison sheets and delivery control logs.
  • Expedite material delivery to align with production requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team on inspections (e.g., FAI, PSI).
  • Monitor material receipts, including incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Create and issue purchase orders using SAP or other company systems.
  • Track and verify invoices, reporting discrepancies to Purchasing management.
  • Process rejected, damaged, or short-shipped materials.
  • Perform document control tasks such as filing, copying, and record-keeping.
  • Serve as a liaison between purchasing, suppliers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Provide hospitality to visiting vendors and guests.
  • (Preferred) Translate between Japanese and English as needed to support supplier communications.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related field (entry-level candidates with strong organizational skills will be considered).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP or ERP system experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage small vendor accounts and handle multiple tasks effectively.
