Yonkers Contracting Company is looking for motivated students to join our Internship Program. Interns work alongside experienced professionals on major infrastructure projects and see firsthand how heavy civil construction gets built, managed, and delivered.
What You’ll Do- Support project teams in the field and in the office
- Learn the basics of project planning, scheduling, documentation, and coordination
- Attend site visits, safety orientations, toolbox talks, and project meetings
- Help prepare reports, logs, tracking spreadsheets, and other project documents
- Learn the roles of owners, agencies, subcontractors, and vendors on public works projects
- Build professional skills through mentorship and hands‑on experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (Engineering or Construction Management)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willing to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
- Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to manage time well
- OSHA 10 a plus, but not required
- Paid internship
- Hands‑on experience on major infrastructure projects in NY, NJ, and CT
- Mentorship from experienced industry professionals
- Potential for future internship or full‑time opportunities
