Role:
Undergraduate Co-op in Drug Substance Technologies Synthetics at Amgen, focusing on process scale-up of small-molecule APIs for early to late-stage development.
Responsibilities:- learn synthetic organic chemistry and chemical engineering principles
- support process translation from development to manufacturing
- interact with scientists and engineers on manufacturing technologies
- enrolled in a Bachelor's program with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- completed at least one year of study
- based in the U.S.
- full-time availability
- studies in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Data Sciences
- experience with organic synthesis, flow chemistry, biocatalysis, lab automation, or Python data analysis
- strong interpersonal and project management skills
- experience with small-molecule API manufacturing, process scale-up, and advanced manufacturing technologies
- interest in chemical engineering, organic synthesis
- collaborative environment with potential exposure to R&D, clinical, and commercial teams
- full-time, 6-month remote placement with relocation allowance
