Strategic Events Manager Contractor

Description:

• Manage planning and hands-on execution of large-scale, company-hosted events.
• Own event timelines, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate venue, hotel, audiovisual, catering, registration, and attendee experience logistics.
• Serve as the onsite lead during company events.
• Plan and execute small- and medium-sized tradeshow booth sponsor ships.
• Manage tradeshow contracts, vendors, budgets, and logistics.
• Collaborate with Sales and internal teams attending conferences.
• Support lunch-and-learns, VIP events, dinners, networking events, and other event programs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of event planning experience in any industry.
• Proven experience planning full conferences from start to finish.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-day conferences or customer-facing events.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Comfort with limited travel of up to 10% and onsite event management.
• Ability to ramp up quickly and self-onboard in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred:
  Based in the Atlanta area and able to work from the Alpharetta or Glencastle office one to two days per week.
• Availability for a contract running as soon as possible through April 30, 2027, at 30-40 hours per week.
