The purpose of this salaried, exempt CTRS position is to promote a therapeutic environment for all residents by assessing recreational preferences, creating and implementing innovative group and individualized recreation programming, maintaining timely documentation, and enhancing quality of life through individualized person-centered interventions.

• Understands and promotes Elizabeth Seton Children’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure application with organizational policies and procedures.
• To plan and lead group and individual activities.
• Maintain and record quarterly and annual progress reports.
• Keep daily statistics.
• Complete initial resident assessment.
• Assist in decorating of facility for holidays and events.
• Assist in the selection, planning and implementation of special events.
• Maintain supplies in an orderly and safe manner.
• Assist in selection and ordering of supplies.
• Attend plan of care and physiatry meetings.
• Attend in service training sessions.
• Perform any duties relevant to the function of the department.
• Maintain flexible work schedule to assist in needed situations or emergencies.
• As assigned by supervisor will act as an instructor for recreation students and provide all necessary supervision/hands on experience in order to complete and fulfill fieldwork assignment.
• Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor, department director, and/or administrator.

• B.S. degree in Therapeutic Recreation Therapy.
• Certification in Therapeutic Recreation Therapy.

• One year experience.
• Experience working with physically and cognitively challenged children preferred.

$62,400.00/Yr. to $66,000.00/Yr.
