CNC Machinist Programmer Operator

Job Description

Econocraft Car Wash Equipment is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team.

This position involves operating an Okuma ES-L8 CNC Lathe with an OSP-U10L control system. Previous experience with this specific machine or control is not required. However, applicants must have a solid understanding of CNC Lathe machining and be capable of setting up, programming, and running parts independently. (Must be able to program parts independently with specs & steps provided)

We manufacture our own equipment and components, so we're looking for someone who knows what they're doing, takes pride in their work, and can get the job done without constant supervision.

The majority of our machining work involves 1045 Steel and 304/316 Stainless Steel.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate the Okuma ES-L8 CNC Lathe.
• Read and interpret part drawings, cut sheets, and specifications.
• Write your own CNC programs based on provided drawings and specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds for each job.
• Produce accurate parts within required tolerances.
• Provide realistic machining and production time estimates for each job.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized.
• Work independently and troubleshoot machining or programming issues as they arise. (We do have outside service and tech support available to us when needed)

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with real machining experience who can take a drawing and turn it into a finished part. You don't need to know our particular machine on day one, but you do need to understand machining, programming, setups, and how to work efficiently.
