Inside Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level possible of service to all customers with the main objective of serving our retail and walk in contractor, commercial and industrial customers
• Answer telephone inquiries pleasantly and promptly
• Provide customers with information on additional items related to purchases made
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products sold, product usage, product prices and new products on the market
• Handle minor complaints with the objective of solving the problem
• Listen to a customers complaint to find out what it will take to satisfy the customer
• Comply with Companys procedures on sales transactions, paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.
• Maintain stock, displays and housekeeping for assigned areas
• Assist supervisor, other employees as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000-$55,000

Shift: Day shift

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

Sales: 3 years (Preferred), Building Supply Sales: 2 years (Preferred)

  High School Diploma or GED
• Experience:
  
  3 years experience in retail or contractor building material sales preferred
• Skills:
  
  Ability to do math, read orders, follow instructions and complete forms
• Skills:
  
  Ability to communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills
• Skills:
  
  Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques
• Interpersonal skills:
  Good telephone etiquette
