Armed Security Officer, Saint Joseph's Medical Center, Yonkers NY

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors, and employees across the hospital campus.
• Respond to emergency situations, alarms, and other safety incidents.
• Use verbal de-escalation skills to resolve incidents on hospital property.
• Assist with visitor management and perform escorts when needed.
• Perform patrols on foot and/or vehicle throughout hospital grounds.
• Write accurate and detailed incident reports.
• Liaise with local law enforcement agencies when needed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Full Carry Permit.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, or local licensing and permit requirements for armed security employment and specific weapons qualifications.

Armed Security Officer will be a uniformed position and will be required to stand for extended periods of time. May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information. Vacancies will be for the morning, evening, and overnight shifts. Law enforcement experience preferred.

Rate: $35.00
