Overview
Multi-Unit Team Leader at H&R Block. You will provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop associates across three tax offices; deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center.
- Foster an engaging, collaborative team environment across all offices through training and coaching.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Ability to manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Experience partnering with leadership to develop and implement growth plans and client growth targets; ability to establish local partnerships and community involvement.
- Experience assisting in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Track record of conducting performance reviews and resolving associate issues in collaboration with HR partners.
- Ability to train and coach associates to build an engaging cross-office team culture.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to share information effectively with teams.
- Proficiency with MS Office and computer systems.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience. - Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $40.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefit programs including medical coverage, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and more as described by local requirements.

Location & SchedulingThis role is in-person and not remote. You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season, transitioning to full-time January through April, including evenings and weekends as needed.
