Nurse Manager - Inpatient Nursing

Reporting to the Nursing Director, the Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour accountability for patient care activities and service operations. The Nurse Manager supports the provision of age-appropriate care to patients and families;
Supervises staff, making recommendations for personnel action (hiring, transferring, advancement, corrective action);
Oversees staffing/scheduling;
Evaluates effectiveness of orientation, ongoing competency and learning needs of staff;
Engages staff in activities which promote improvements in systems/processes (patient satisfaction, quality metrics, core measures).
